Rong Jia is a graphic designer and visual communicator based in Houston, currently working in-house at Houston Grand Opera while also maintaining an independent design practice. Her work spans branding, editorial design, print and digital advertising, marketing design, promotional design, experiential design and social media design, with a focus on translating complex narratives into clear, emotionally resonant visual languages. With a master’s degree in graphic design and visual experience design from SCAD, Rong brings a systems-driven yet highly artistic approach to her practice. Her design philosophy balances concept, creativity, and cultural sensitivity, often blending typography, photography, collage, and storytelling to create work that feels both contemporary and timeless. She has received recognition from international design competitions, and her work has been featured in editorial, cultural and industry publications.
