Short Version:
We collect your name, email, and payment details to process your entry. We don't sell your data. Your submitted work remains yours. We're registered in Hong Kong and operate under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO).
/ What data we collect
When you register or submit an entry, we collect the following:
Name, email address, and account password.
Company or school name, job title, and country.
Payment details — processed securely via Stripe. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
Entry content — images, PDF documents, project title, category, and any URLs you provide.
Communications — emails or messages you send to our team.
We also collect standard technical data when you visit our website, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and performance purposes.

We collect information when you:
Register an account.
Submit an entry and make a payment.
Subscribe to our newsletter.
Contact us via email or live chat.
/ How we use your data
We use your data to:
Process your submission and manage your account.
Send you confirmation emails, entry updates, and results.
Send our newsletter and competition announcements — only if you opt in.
Respond to your customer service enquiries.
Improve the website and our services.
Comply with legal and accounting obligations.
/ Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only with:
Stripe — our payment processor, to handle your transaction securely.
Our email service provider, to send transactional and marketing emails.
Send our newsletter and competition announcements — only if you opt in.
Our jury members, who see entry content (images, project details) but not your personal contact information.
All third parties we work with are required to handle your data confidentially and in line with applicable privacy law.
/ How long we keep it
We retain your account and entry data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and legal purposes. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
/ Your rights
Under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO), you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of any inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Indigo Design Award is an international design competition that accepts entries across digital, graphic, branding, motion, and related design disciplines. We evaluate submitted work through an independent jury and recognise outstanding entries through our awards programme.

/ Entry eligibility
Submitted designs must have been completed within the last five years.
Entries must be submitted in English.
Entrants may be based anywhere in the world.
Submitting an entry does not guarantee a winning place.
/ Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service at any time, without notice, if you breach these terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to other users or the competition.
/ Limitation of liability
Indigo Award and Marly Group Limited are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to enter the competition.
/ Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the website at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
/ Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

Short Version:
You have five days from submission to request a refund. Email us and we'll process it within five business days. Entry fees are refunded minus any payment processing fees charged by Stripe.
/ Refund window
You may request a full refund within five days of completing your submission. After this window closes, entries are considered final and fees are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

/ Processing fees
Approved refunds are returned in full minus the payment processing fee charged by Stripe. This fee is typically a small percentage of the transaction and is outside of our control.
/ No guarantee of winning
Submitting an entry does not guarantee recognition or a winning place. All entries are evaluated independently by our jury based on the criteria for each category. Entry fees are charged for the evaluation service, not for a guaranteed outcome.
/ Cancellation of the competition
In the unlikely event that Indigo Award cancels a competition cycle, all entry fees will be refunded in full within 30 days of the cancellation announcement.
