Description

Hang Out is a playful, animal-inspired coffee shop based in Vancouver, BC. It was created in response to today’s fast-paced lifestyle. Designed as a cozy third place for young adults, it offers a welcoming space to slow down, unwind, and feel a sense of belonging. At the heart of the brand is a gaggle of animal characters. Each character represents a distinct personality and mood, dressed in familiar Canadian winter attire. The concept celebrates individuality and reinforces Hang Out as a local, inclusive community space. Not everyone is the same, but everyone is welcome. Everyone can find a character they relate to. The visual identity features branding centered on illustrated animal characters and custom handmade typography. Together, they add personality, warmth, and friendliness to the brand. Warm colours, playful drink names, and character-driven details support the experience. Hang Out turns ordinary coffee breaks into comforting social rituals that foster connection, authenticity, and community.
