My name is Crissinee, and I am the co-founder of Wakishi Ramen, a late-night ramen brand that operated in Long Beach, California in 2023. Wakishi Ramen was created as a 100% take-out–focused concept, designed for people seeking a warm, comforting bowl of ramen they could easily take with them during late-night hours.
The idea came from observing people finishing long work shifts and looking for something fast, familiar, and satisfying on their way home. Ramen became the answer—a comforting meal designed to travel. This insight shaped the foundation of the brand and its take-out identity.
This take-out philosophy directly informed the brand identity. From the beginning, I wanted Wakishi Ramen to feel energetic, approachable, and in motion. The logo—a ramen bowl with legs—visually captures this idea, symbolizing speed, accessibility, and ramen that is always ready for take-out. The running bowl reflects late nights, quick movement, and the everyday rhythm of the brand’s audience.
I led the concept, initial logo draft, and overall brand direction, while Choice Design (Bangkok, Thailand) executed and refined the logo and visual identity through final execution, following the established creative vision. The result is a cohesive and recognizable brand identity that clearly communicates Wakishi Ramen’s positioning as a late-night, take-out–driven ramen brand.
