YQ a.k.a. Youth Quake is all about school life. Founded by Pingtung Peace Church in 2009, YQ holds a series of competitions and offers prizes such as The Most Creative Team Calls, The Best Financial Ideas, The New Generation, and so much more, to invite students teaming up for the honour of their own schools. By doing so, YQ encourages the bond between students and their schools, and hopes to grow it into actions that benefit the society, such as student volunteers. While getting into YQ’s second decade, this new visual identity is designed in 2019 specifically for the new generation of their target audience. Inspired by Generation Z, the design applies the lightning symbol that represents electric power to illustrate the power of youth; and through images of the internet and social media, to depict the YQ’s high hope to these high school kids –– to love your school, and to love the world you live in.
