Together with the Jacobs team, we envisioned a new website that was more than just information. By building an experience that was a true extension of its people, they could support their business goals and build stronger relationships with both employees and clients. 

We translated this vision into three clear UX principles which became the foundation for all features and functions: human, accessible, and customizable. 

To make Jacobs.com feel like a human-centered experience, the usual content hierarchies were dissolved, meaning vital content of all types—case studies, podcasts, employee spotlights, news—now sit next to one another equally. Coupled with interactions and animations that feel more natural, the website highlights the human aspect of the company and the people behind the brand.

Given Jacobs' core value of inclusion, accessibility was also an important consideration for the site. With this in mind, we added on/off toggles for Reading Masks and Animation Stoppage.

For added customizability, the website allows users to make changes to their experience without logging in and leverages platform intelligence that helps the site feel responsive and smart instead of over-indexing on being predictive. The bespoke content and personal boards can be saved and shared, transforming Jacobs.com into a powerful marketing and educational hub. 

Within six months of launching the new Jacobs.com, pageviews increased 252%, podcast downloads increased by 1.5 million, and video impressions increased 4x. The site moved into second place in Global Rank against industry peers (just behind McKinsey) and the site saw internal success as well, with an increase in internal content creators and more sales teams using its boards feature in client interactions.
