The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre collaborates with arts and cultural groups and community partners to promote and develop local Chinese culture in Singapore. Through engaging and accessible content, they hope to nurture greater appreciation of Singapore's multi-cultural identity and a stronger sense of belonging. To showcase local creativity, the Centre commissions local artists to create original artworks for use on the Centre’s various collaterals and social media platforms.

In accordance with their mission, we produced a travelling exhibition where visitors are invited to venture into the mystical realm of Chinese mythology through an interactive and immersive art experience; titled Mythology RElooked. This exhibition showcases more than 20 artworks by local artists, which we transformed through both analogue installations and immersive technologies – including augmented reality (AR), digital reactive media, games, and even a zoetrope. Through these interaction points, visitors meet various mythological characters and relive their epic stories in unique and exciting ways.

We conceptualised the exhibition from start to finish – working with each artist, external and in-house, to transform their 2D artworks into various AR experiences or interactive installations, while keeping the exhibition portable and fit for travel.
