Playboy is the definition of iconic. Having been at the epicenter of a cultural shift in society's relationship with femininity and women’s ownership of their sexuality, Playboy found themselves again presented with an opportunity to redefine society’s relationship with a stigmatized topic – cannabis. Playboy reached out to Sackville Studios, experts in the cannabis product design space, to design a smoking set that embodied both the rich history of Playboy and the modern ethos of their brand, advocates for female empowerment and pleasure. We at Sackville Studios worked with Playboy from the idea stage through to the launch of this eye-catching set. It was important to us that the products we created felt completely new and innovative while remaining inspired by the rich history of Playboy. We created completely new and modern shapes for the products and utilized materials that spoke to a modern consumer all while maintaining an overall aesthetic of luxury, a core aesthetic of Playboy. In the end we created a design forward, boundary pushing product set that put Playboy at the center of the modern cannabis conversation.
