The topic of mental health is less stigmatized in the current generation of young adults, but many of us still grapple with factors like cost, time, stigma, and resources interfering with our ability to engage with our own mental health meaningfully and sustainably. Some people face stigma from their ethnic communities surrounding mental health, some are unable to find mental health services that discuss specific relevant topics, and some simply cannot afford the time or money to seek help. How can we change this?
MindLog is an app that helps users create a routine of personal, meaningful mental health care over time with the intention to build long-term and sustainable habits. By doing so, individuals can build resilience in working through stress, anxiety, and other negative experiences, giving them a greater sense of control, and helping them sustain themselves until they are able to access a mental health professional if needed.
With MindLog, therapy and mental health services are not replaced, and their importance is not diminished - instead, individuals are able to help themselves as much as possible and recognize when they may need a professional.
