Bloom Beyond Borders offers refugees a chance to find hope and rebuild their lives. It serves as a safe haven for displaced individuals in Indonesia, providing a supportive environment where they can cultivate a meaningful existence.

The system fosters connections between locals and refugees by creating spaces for interaction and collaboration—opportunities to learn from and engage with one another. Through integrated programs and shared experiences, both communities benefit, strengthening their relationships and understanding.

Bloom’s visual identity is rooted in a deeply symbolic logo. Inspired by the jelly, some tentacles flow seamlessly into Bloom, representing refugees who have already integrated into the community. Other linger behind, symbolizing locals who remain hesitant about embracing change. Bloom stands at the center, serving as a bridge between cultures, promoting empathy, and fostering a sense of belonging. It is not just a system—it is a movement.

A series of posters illustrates how cultural integration can drive economic growth. Designed as a strategic proposal for organizations like UNHCR, these visuals go beyond advocacy, offering a tangible roadmap for change. The visual language remains minimal yet striking, using bold colors to emphasize the impact of the solution.

The site and structure prioritize both social and physical security. By maintaining walls and gates, individuals on both sides feel safe and comfortable, enabling interaction without fear. Whether through community engagement, economic opportunity, or interpersonal connections, Bloom creates a space that fosters trust—one that, in time, will bring down barriers.
