Food plays a pivotal part in our lives, yet we often find ourselves consuming it without deep appreciation, having been privileged to enjoy life with ample access to food. In moments like grocery shopping or dining out at a restaurant, the presence of food producers often feels detached from our daily lives. Consequently, we tend to overlook the considerable efforts and sacrifices made by countless individuals and the animals themselves.
I developed "Reach," a brand centered around a farm-to-table pre-portioned meal kit service, aimed at addressing food waste and fostering a deeper connection between consumers and food producers. The service delivers weekly meal kits, each featuring a QR code for direct communication with the farms. My design process began with extensive research, including a survey of over 75 people from diverse food cultures and visits to Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture and Alstede Farms. I incorporated my own photography from these visits into the brand's visual identity, meticulously designing and printing labels, envelopes, and recipes to create a cohesive and meaningful experience.
