I’m Johanny, co-founder, art director and brand designer at Solstice Design, an independent branding and web studio based in Québec City, Canada.
We take the time to understand what lies beneath the words, the ideas, and the ambitions of the organizations we work with. Then we transform those insights into visual identities and digital experiences that resonate, build trust, and leave a lasting impression.
Agency life taught me pace, freelancing taught me ownership, and working in-house taught me perspective. Together, those experiences shaped the way I design today: strategically, empathetically, and always with people at the center of the process.
I now believe the way an organization is perceived can change the opportunities it attracts, the trust it earns, and the impact it creates. Organizations doing meaningful work deserve to be seen for what they truly are.
I’m especially inspired by organizations that strive to make a positive impact. Helping them express who they truly are, and ensuring their visual presence reflects the quality of their work, is what continues to drive my practice every day.
I don't simply design brands, I design how they are felt. Great design is about creating an emotional connection that helps people recognize the value, purpose, and humanity behind an organization.
Design, to me, is an act of empathy. It's about helping people see the value that was already there, and giving organizations the confidence to show up as they truly are.
