The Story of Bak Kut Teh follows Ah Fatt, who fled China during wartime and arrived in Malaya. While working in the tin mines under harsh conditions, the method of making Bak Kut Teh was accidentally discovered as the boss brewed medicinal herbs with bones to help the workers. Years later, Ah Fatt becomes the owner of "Klang Bak Kut Teh." KAI, a boy who grew up in Malaysia and loves Bak Kut Teh, visits the shop. Through old photos and a vintage TV in the shop, KAI learns about Ah Fatt's past and the touching history behind Bak Kut Teh.
