Throughout the sketching process for the storyboard, I put myself in the baby’s perspective, visualizing the whole environment in the womb.
In Act 3 Scene 1 (in the delivery room), the most interesting visual aspect is the great difference in thickness of linework for different things within one frame. Thicker lines are used for the background whereas thinner linework is for the characters. It is to create a deep contrast between the environment and the characters, so that the audience will focus their attention towards the characters. Also, the thick lines represent the warmth and the strong ties between the family members.
