The Come Aboard the Reading Promise campaign featured large, vibrant artwork designed to spark conversations between adults and their children throughout the public transit system in Philadelphia. These small everyday interactions have been proven to grow early literacy skills, as well as creativity and critical thinking. The signs were displayed across two major subway stations, 70 bus shelters, three dozen buses, two subway cars and hundreds of subway and rail signs across the city. A free-to-use short story kiosk at each campaign station also connected commuters to local writers of all ages.
